I have built this website as a hobby. I am truly enjoying this rewarding experience!
Why did I decide to build this website?
Well, for over 10 years now I have been searching for the best way to lose weight. I really don't know why, since I was never actually too fat. I was always a few kilos (pounds) heavier then I would like to be (and I mean, who isn't?)
I have tried every diet on the market, and I really mean everything! From dieting to acupuncture, all kinds of soup diets, meat diets, banana diets (hello?!), Atkins diet, Montignac, Southbeach...and the list goes on and on.
All that experimenting has given me plenty of knowledge, so my friends started asking me for advice on how to lose weight, how to bake bread, which vitamins to take, and so on. While helping them, I realized how much I enjoyed it. I love to help people by sharing all that I have learned.
One thing that I've learned is that no diet in the world will help you unless you change your eating habits as well as your lifestyle.
But many people don't want to do that because they think they have to give up all the things that give them pleasure. They believe that they would be forced to live their lives in a way they wouldn't enjoy.
The second reason for building this website is that I like Croatian cuisine very much, and many tourists who come (mostly in the summertime) to visit Croatia are delighted with Croatian food.
I hope that you will be too.
How did I build this website?
Okay, deciding to build a website is one thing, and actually doing it is something quite different.
How do you do that when you don't have a clue about website building?
Luckily for me (and my wallet), it wasn't too long before I discovered Blogger.com platform.
I decided to give it a try, and it happened to be the best decision I have ever made!
Without a program guiding me through the whole process (and much, much more) of creating a website whose traffic rapidly increases practically on a daily basis, a small fish like me would have absolutely NO chance for success in this cruel Internet world.
So, a big, big THANKS to the whole Blogger.com team!
